Welcome to the Joan Jones Website. I won't call it official or unofficial or any other such nonsense. Its here and that's all that matters. I've been a big fan of Joan's music for a long time. She formally fronted a band called Sun60. Much to my dismay they broke up some years ago. They had an amazing sound that was just coming into its own. I waited impatiently knowing that a voice like Joan's wouldn't stay quiet forever.
Needless to say, I was excited when her CD, Starlight Criminal was released. It is truely a beautiful piece of work. On Wednesday Dec 2nd 1998, I saw her at Slim's in San Francisco opening up for Fastball. She only got to play for 45 minutes. Hopefully she'll be able to start headlining her own gigs soon.
I've launched this site last December (98), since I noticed no fan based pages for Joan or Sun60. Most of it is up and running. You can get her new tour dates on the Links Page. You can listen to and purchase her CD's directly from this website on the Discography Page. I'll be adding more info as I get it. Some of the lyrics have been posted, more will come soon. So check out what's here and come back often to see updates to my various Music pages.
Joan has finished her tour with Seal and her Lilith Fair dates are done.
She then did a little swing through the South East, also now complete. All
new tour dates, as I get them, will be on my Links
Page. She will be performing in Los Angeles at
Genghis Cohen on October
30th. I'll keep you all informed as any new dates are listed.
